Prior to this operation, however, it is advisable to configure its properties and this task can be performed in a separate window. Here, you can specify settings for the mail server, as well as parameters that are specific to the network interface and various properties of the protocols mentioned above.

More preferences are made available inside the Options window, where you can define the communication timeout, parameters for device search IP range included and the location of the log file in case you have logging enabled. If you want to make network settings, remove the memory card from the printer before beginning setup. Before changing the printer connection method, check that the network you are changing to is operating correctly.

Also, when changing the wireless LAN connection, make a note of the broadband router access point and computer settings because you need the SSID and security settings during setup. The necessary software may not be installed on your computer if you have only been using the printer as a copy or fax machine, without connecting it to a computer. In that case, the method for changing the printer connection differs from the following. Turn on the printer and make sure that your LAN is working normally.

Thanks for your feedback. That seems to have fixed it for me, although it took a while to install - I had identical symptoms to you, by the sounds of things.

Two reboots and a couple of print-outs later and it's still working so far. I spoke too soon. The problem has resurfaced, exactly the same symptoms as mentioned in my original post. The fixes above did not work for me. Once again, I cannot print and I cannot access my "printers and devices" on control panel, as the system hangs. It turns out that this was not compatible with Windows Uninstalling this and reinstalling the Epson software package has - for the time being - fixed this again.

I have uninstalled all Epson software, reinstalled, rebooted, all without success. I am able to print. I have set-up the Epson software to be backwards compatible with Windows 8. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software several times without success. I have run the troubleshooter and reported it to Microsoft. I recently upgraded to Windows I have uninstalled the drivers, and restarted the computer and router no less than 6 times.

The printer WIFI light is on indicating it is getting a signal from the router but it will not print a thing. I keep getting a printer error message from the computer but it doesn't give me any details of the error. I even tried setting up the drivers with a USB cable and that has not worked either. Anyone else out there experience this problem? Would appreciate any tips to resolve the issue.

I was finally able to get the printer working with the USB cable but it will still not work wirelessly. Threats include any threat of suicide, violence, or harm to another.
